If you hang around here long enough, you’ll realize I’m a big fan of hobbies.

Dads need hobbies that help balance the grind of Dadhood (see self care for Dads). Hobbies excite, provide opportunities to learn new things, and maybe reinvigorate passions they once had.

For me, unpacking my old sports cards, grading them, buying new ones, and organizing them all is something I’m fired up about. Cue the PREZA Graded Card Card Storage Case  — perfect for all your PSA graded slabs (and will fit a few other grading companies).

My Quick Video Review

Here’s a 2 minute video review of the PREZA Graded Card Case for PSA graded cards:

September 2025 update

Here’s another option for you. If you need more storage, and some of your slabs are graded by SGC (which can be inevitable as your collection grows), you’ll want to check out the XL case instead. My review on this case below.

Pros and Cons

What I Liked

  • Fits a whopping 108 PSA graded slabs
  • Added security – Lock and spare keys gives me peace of mind knowing that my investment is well-protected
  • Sturdy and well-made – Good visual presentation for showing off your collection
  • Foam inserts – Keep my cards from sliding around, creating a secure fit for all my graded sports cards and great for organizing by player, sport, or value
  • Universal design – It fits most graded card companies, and even top loaders, making it a versatile option for any collector
  • Durability – The quality of this case are top-notch, making it an excellent choice for both storage and travel

What Can Be Improved

  • The lock works fine, but I could see the key being flimsy over time
  • Per my video above, I wish it came with more foam inserts and were thinner (giving more space for cards!)
  • Not waterproof/water-resistant

Unboxing – What’s Inside?

I purchased the PREZA Graded Card Storage Box from Amazon. When I opened the package, I found an empty storage box, ready to be filled. Here are the specs.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 9″L x 10.5″W x 7.5″H
  • Weight: 1 pound (just the case itself, not including added slabs)
  • Special Feature: Lockable
  • Material: Metal with a modern matte black finish
  • Color: Black
  • Brand: PREZA
  • Manufacturer: PREZA

4 Key Features of the PREZA Slab Storage Case

Here are the key features of this case that stand out to me.

1. Universal Compatibility: fits most Major Grading Companies

This box isn’t just made for PSA slabs, it also holds:

  • 108 PSA slabs
  • 78 BGS (Beckett) slabs
  • 375 top loaders
  • Also compatible with CGC, GMA, and more (note: does NOT hold SGC well, the opening is not wide enough)

Even though I mainly own PSA graded cards, as a collector of various graded cards I can appreciate the universal compatibility as my collection grows. The case is designed with each of the three (3) compartments/rows, each compartment holding 36 PSA graded cards, 26 BGS graded cards, or 125 top loaders.

2. Secure with Lock & Keys

Comes with a built-in lock and 2 spare keys to keep your investment protected.

The keys are not your normal key, but function well do the job

This feature gives me peace of mind knowing that my valuable graded cards are safely stored and accessible only to me. I can easily keep the case locked when not in use, preventing any unauthorized access to my collection.

3. Foam Inserts for Card Safety

Includes 3 foam inserts to create a snug fit with the slabs and prevent movement during transport.

The foam inserts can help organize and separate slabs easily

This feature prevents the  slab cards from sliding or shifting within the case, maintaining their pristine condition. The foam inserts provide a snug and protective environment for each card, minimizing the risk of damage during storage and transport.

Dad Tip: Utilize the inserts to organize your cards based on sports, players, or value to easily locate and display your favorites.

4. Modern, Travel-Friendly Design

For collectors on the go, this slab card storage case is a great option for traveling with valuable graded cards.

The handle is sturdy and strong, which is needed if traveling

Its durable construction and secure locking mechanism ensure that my cards are protected during transport, while the ample storage capacity allows me to bring along a variety of graded football, basketball, Pokemon, and baseball cards without worrying about damage. Collectors can confidently showcase and protect their prized graded cards during conventions, trading events, or while traveling to meet with other collectors.

  • Lockable and durable
  • Easy-carry handle
  • Compact enough for travel, yet large enough for serious collectors

Comparison Table: PREZA vs. Others

Slab storage boxes/containers are all somewhat similar, but there are a few differences to keep in mind when making your purchasing decision.

Dad’s Final Thoughts

Dads need things to get excited about outside of family, careers, businesses and the day-to-day grind. Get a hobby. Learn, play, become a kid again.

Collecting and organizing my graded sports cards has been a ton of fun, and the PREZA storage case works well for me!
