ESR Geo Wallet Review: Built-In Apple Find My for the Forgetful Dad
Dad has enough to find before leaving the house—his wallet shouldn’t be another scavenger hunt. My ESR Geo Wallet review covers built-in Apple Find My, the loud alert, and charging. I also explain why my smaller Ridge remains my everyday choice, despite the ESR’s handy tracking features.

Dad has plenty of wallet options these days, from slim card holders to bifolds with more technology than his first car.
In this ESR Geo Wallet review, I’m looking at a traditional bifold with Apple Find My built in, so there’s no separate AirTag to squeeze between my cards.
ESR sent me this wallet to try. I checked the card slots, connected the magnetic charger, set it up in Find My, and played the surprisingly loud alert.
I also compared it with my go-to Ridge Wallet. I like a smaller wallet, but there’s plenty here for Dad to consider.
My Quick Video Review
Here’s a quick video review of the ESR Geo Wallet. I demonstrate the magnetic charging connection, play its Find My alert, show the card storage, and compare its size with my Ridge Wallet.
Other Everyday Dad Essentials
Here are a few other products you may be interested in, Dad.
- Prefer a smaller wallet? My Ridge Wallet review after six years covers the minimalist alternative I show in this video. My Ridge doesn’t have tracking built in.
- Keep a joke in your pocket. The novelty card I use for the slot demonstration has its own McLovin fake ID from Superbad review. It’s a movie prop for a laugh, not identification.
- Give the wallet a zippered pocket. My PURE CHAMP budget men’s joggers review covers the three-pack I wear for casual Dad duty, including its zippered pockets.
Pros and Cons
Here’s a quick breakdown of what Dad liked, and what can be improved about this trackable bifold wallet.
What I Liked
- Find My built in – I added the wallet as an item without needing to make room for an AirTag.
- Surprisingly loud alert – The little speaker made more noise than I expected during my demonstration.
- Straightforward setup – Find My detected the wallet, and adding it was easy.
- Traditional storage – Cards slid in easily, with dedicated places for cash and an ID.
- Long claimed battery life – ESR advertises up to six months per charge, which sounds much better than another weekly charging chore.
Dad’s Honest Callouts
- Keep the proprietary cable – The wallet needs its magnetic connector; a regular USB-C cable cannot plug directly into it.
- More pocket bulk – This is larger than my Ridge, and adding cards makes the bifold thicker.
- Know what I actually tested – Find My requires a compatible Apple device. My review doesn’t independently verify six-month battery life or RFID-blocking performance.
Quick Verdict
I’d recommend the ESR Geo Wallet to someone who wants a traditional bifold and built-in Find My tracking. Setup was easy, I liked the card access, and that loud alert stood out. My Ridge is still my go-to because I prefer its smaller shape, but the ESR makes sense if separate card slots and a cash compartment are more your style.

Dad’s 5 Key Features
Here are the five features that stood out while I got a feel for this wallet and compared it with my everyday Ridge.
1. Apple Find My Without a Separate AirTag
I like the simplicity of buying one wallet with the tracking hardware already inside. During setup, I added it as an item in Apple’s Find My app, and the process was straightforward. An AirTag in an existing wallet is another approach, but I’d rather avoid finding space for that extra piece when choosing a wallet with built-in tracking.

2. A Speaker That Surprised Me
The audible alert was one of my favorite parts of the demonstration. I used Find My to play a sound, and the wallet’s little speaker was louder than I expected. That matters when the wallet is nearby but out of sight. I immediately thought about couch cushions, the car, and whichever room my kids might have moved it into.
Dad Tip: Try the Play Sound option when the wallet is hiding nearby; that loud beep is more useful than another lap around the house.
3. Separate Slots for Cards, Cash, and an ID
Opening this wallet feels familiar if you like a traditional bifold. I found plenty of places for cards, plus a bill compartment and an ID window. The cards slid in easily during my demo, including my McLovin novelty card. Compared with my Ridge’s stacked-card arrangement, this gives individual cards their own spots, although filling those spots adds thickness.

4. Rechargeable Battery and Magnetic Charging
I show the charging connector lining up magnetically with the contacts inside the wallet. The power end is USB-C, but the wallet end is proprietary, so keep the included cable somewhere sensible. ESR says a full charge takes about 1.5 hours and can last up to six months. I appreciate that claim, although this wasn’t a six-month battery test.

Dad Tip: Keep this cable with your regular charging supplies; its USB-C end is familiar, but the magnetic wallet connector is the part you’ll need again.
5. Traditional Leather Style With RFID Blocking
The Aged Leather version has the traditional wallet look I show up close in the video, with RFID blocking listed as another feature. I didn’t perform a scanner test, so my experience here is about the feel, appearance, and card access. It’s a good-looking option to my eye, though I still prefer the smaller form of my Ridge for everyday carry.

Dad’s Final Thoughts
Fun Fact: Ötzi the Iceman carried a leather belt pouch containing tinder fungus and small tools. Apparently, keeping essentials together predates Dad’s overflowing pockets by quite a bit. See the museum’s description.
Getting out the door with my kids already involves enough searching. I can appreciate anything that makes finding my own stuff a little less of an event.
