Dads, we’ve all been there — diapers flying, grocery bags tipping, and umbrellas doing gymnastics in the back of your vehicle.

That chaos stops today.

In this Trunk Crate Pro Trunk Organizer review, I’m sharing how this one product turned my trunk from a mobile mess into a dad-powered command center. It’s configurable, sturdy, doesn’t slide, and holds everything from diapers, to Amazon return boxes, books, notebooks, pencils/pens, and more.

Let’s dive in.

My Quick Video Review

Here’s a quick video review of the Trunk Crate Pro (LARGE size, I accidentally say XL in video):

Pros and Cons

Here’s a quick look at what worked and what could be better with Trunk Crate Pro’s organizer.

What I Liked

  1. Customizable Compartments – The Velcro dividers allow me to make one huge space or three smaller compartments depending on what I’m hauling that day.
  2. Doesn’t Slide Around – The Velcro bottom and included straps keep it planted. I rarely need the straps because it just stays put.
  3. Tough Build – Made of heavy-duty Oxford polyester. It’s water-resistant and hasn’t sagged or collapsed once.
  4. Tons of Storage Pockets – From bungee cords to mesh sleeves, there’s a place for everything.
  5. Easy to Collapse – When not in use, it folds up flat. Dad win.

What Can Be Improved

  • Size Labeling Confusion – I mistakenly referred to it as XL in my video; it’s actually the “Large” version. Just make sure you get the right size for your trunk.
  • Velcro May Wear Over Time – While super handy, heavy use may wear the Velcro.

Quick Verdict

This thing rocks. I’ve used it in my SUV for groceries, diapers, umbrellas, and everything else dad life throws my way. It’s configurable, sturdy, and helps keep everything in its place. Highly recommend it.

Top Amazon Reviews

Don’t just take my word for it, here’s what others are saying about the Trunk Crate Pro Trunk Organizer:

  • “Stays put, even on sharp turns” – Reviewers love the non-slip bottom and Velcro strips, saying it doesn’t budge during driving, even when loaded.
  • “Holds everything without collapsing” – Many users highlight how durable and well-constructed it is, even when packed with groceries, tools, or kid gear.
  • “Folds flat but feels heavy-duty” – Customers appreciate how easily it collapses when not in use, yet still feels strong and structured when expanded.

Features I Found

This trunk organizer has a few standout features that I found especially helpful as a Dad constantly on the go.

Configurable Compartments

I loved being able to customize the interior. Whether I’m packing groceries or my toddler’s diaper kit, the Velcro dividers let me adjust the setup based on the day’s mission. I often run it with two compartments—one for everyday gear, one for Amazon returns and grocery bags.

Non-Slip Bottom + Straps

This thing doesn’t budge. The Velcro bottom grips the trunk carpet surprisingly well, and when I want to lock it down tighter, the straps clip into trunk hooks. I usually skip the straps, but they’re there when needed.

Heavy-Duty Build

I’ve had collapsible organizers that fold under pressure. This isn’t one of them. The Oxford polyester fabric feels durable and water-resistant. It hasn’t sagged once and holds up even with heavy loads (diaper packs are surprisingly dense).

Smart Pocket Placement

It’s got pockets and loops on nearly every side. Mesh sleeves, bungee cords, and smaller compartments mean all the small stuff—umbrellas, wipes, doggie bags—have their own home. Nothing gets lost.

Folds Up Flat

When I’m hauling something big or just need the space, it collapses flat in seconds. Great for flexibility, especially if you’re juggling multiple uses for your trunk space like I do.

Dad’s Final Thoughts

Fun fact: The average American spends nearly 18 days a year in their car. That’s more than two weeks of trunk chaos unless you get smart about it.

The Trunk Crate Pro may not have a motor or fancy electronics, but it delivers serious utility. It’s one of those products you don’t realize you need until your bananas are no longer bruised, your diapers are no longer MIA, and your Amazon returns are no longer rolling around.

For any dad managing a busy life from the back of a vehicle, this is a no-brainer.

You got this, Dad!

Can you win at Dadhood AND everywhere else in life? I'm just crazy enough to believe we can. With the right knowledge, hacks, habits, and motivation — we can crush it ALL!
